Children always want to help adults. They love to help bake in the kitchen, fold sheets in the bedroom, and clean the dining table. The Practical Life area is designed to help children develop independence and coordination with child-size activities that represent day to day work. For example, children use small pitchers to pour grain from one pitcher to another without spilling. Children help take care of themselves by learning how to button, zip, and tie shoe laces as well as polishing and sewing.
