Ms. Regina presented an informative lesson on El Salvador. The children learned the geography, climate and flag of El Salvador. Ms. Regina also showed the children pictures of the Maquilishuat national tree and the beautiful Turquoise-browed Torogoz, the national bird of El Salvador. She also showed some of the hand-made crafts done by the people of El Salvador.
Ms. Regina concluded the lesson with a yummy treat of Pupusas, a traditional Salvadoran dish, made of corn tortilla and filled with cheese and refried beans. She also made a dessert Budín, a bread pudding made with plenty of raisins.
