Our March 2017 #InternationalDollOfTheMonth represents El Salvador, a beautiful country in central America.
The presentation was led by Ms. Regina and Ms. Joselyn, who both come from El Salvador. Children learned about the physical geography of the country – including its active volcanos – popular Salvadoran food, and the national bird and flower. Our presenters performed a popular folk dance, El Torito Pinto. The children had a chance to dance too! All children took home vanilla wafers from El Salvador.
We also welcomed a new doll to our collection from El Salvador, representing the country’s national dress.
The International Doll of the Month spotlights our 75+ dolls representing the diverse heritage of the Cy-Fair community. We use the dolls to teach children about ways of life around the world.
