5th Annual Children’s Art Show

In March 2017, over 200 Cy-Fair residents joined our 5th Annual Children’s Art Show – Deep in the Heart of Texas. The art work celebrated the diverse culture and rich economic history of the second largest state in the United States. Each child worked one-on-one with our Montessori Art Directress to create their painting, showcasing their creativity and skills in color blending and composition.

The event featured Face Painting and a Photo Booth coordinated by Alumni Parent Susan Mcleroy and the launch of Cy-Fair’s first Tinker Fair, developed by Budding Engineers. The event also included a specialty Mocktail Bar, with custom drinks crafted by Mixologist Niel Ahuja, and a Book Fair led by parent volunteers.

A Winter Wonderland

Students took to the stage to perform songs, dances, and musicals to welcome the holiday season.  This year’s theme was “A Winter Wonderland.”  The show kicked off with the Langham Creek High School Madrigal Choir and ended with our Percussion Band, where students demonstrated their learning in rhythm and musicality. Santa arrived in a red 1970’s convertible (Thanks Skip’s Farm!) and students took professional photos with Santa, courtesy of Alumni Parent Susan Mcleroy.

Celebrating Creativity in Early Childhood

Over 100 Cy-Fair and Cypress residents visited Montessori Preschool @ Copperfield for the 2016 Children’s Art Exhibit, a celebration of art and creativity in early childhood.  The exhibit was officially opened by students at the school, and over 60 art pieces were on display, created using techniques inspired by global artists.  Families were also invited to tour our Science Lab, where they explored the connections between art and science, creating LED puppets and racing remote controlled cars designed from toy bricks.
